"Neuro-Developmental Treatment for the
Upper Extremity(Child)"
Course Description: This
two day workshop will focus on assessment & intervention of upper extremity function in child with cerebral palsy. Review
of basic upper extremity biomechanics, systems that contribute to the development of upper extremity skills, and assessment
to identify system impairments that influence atypical upper extremity function will be discussed.Treatment strtegies with
emphasis on Neuro Developemental Treatment approach will be introduced to address upper extremity function. Content will be
presented through lectures, videos, and demonstrations. A background in NDT is helpfucl but not required. Course is designed
for Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist.
