Extremity Rehabilitation”. As SHT is a
combination of Occupational and Physical
Therapists, this workshop will be also
conducted by two experts......One Occupational
Therapist and one Physical
Therapist.
Details of the workshop
are as follows.
Title: “Physical Agent Modalities for
Upper Extremity Rehabilitation”
Dates: 1st and 2nd March, 2014
Duration: 16 Contact hours
Objective: To introduce basic Physical Agent Modalities
used for Upper Extremity
Rehabilitation intervention to the participants.
Content:
1.To discuss basic modalities viz. TENS,
IFT, Ultrasound, SWD, muscle stimulation,
cryotherapy, etc in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation
intervention.
2.To cite the new Physical Agent Modalities
now used in intervention, viz Laser.
3.To discuss the rationale of Clinical
decision making in use of electrotherapy.
4.To discuss evidence base on use of electrotherapy.
5.To use audio-visual aids, and hands-on
experience in using various
electrotherapy instruments by participants
to educate them in Physical Agent
Modalities.
